We left after an early surf on Saturday morning and drove 2 hours south. No one had booked our site for Friday night, so we drove straight in and set up. The waves were huge, coming from the south, so big that they wrapped into the bay, which is usually calm and flat. We had a great time there early in the morning before the winds picked up.
We surfed, had coffee, went for a walk, ran, rode, and surfed some more, then tied everything down for the strong winds. It wasn't the best weekend for sitting in the sun, but we weathered the occasional shower and windblast, and certainly enjoyed the views, the moon, and the surf.
We purchased a roll of velcro double sided tape to tie the annexe more effectiveley,
The battery and the new victron solarsmart worked really well. I built a waterproof box for it (out of a lunchbox) so it can stay out of the weather. I'll do a post on that soon.
